Rep in iris for other arm. Sew one arm to ea side of clown at shoulder.
SLEEVE COLLAR (MAKE TWO):
ROW 1: With carnation and K hook ch-20, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (19 sts)
ROW 2: (Sc next st, sk next st, 5 dc next st, sk next st) across, ending with 5 dc, fasten off.
Sew one collar around ea arm at hand.
LEG COLLAR (MAKE TWO):
ROW 1: With carnation and K hook ch-28, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (27 sts)
ROW 2: Rep row 2 of sleeve collar.
Sew collar around ea leg just about the shoe.
CLOWN’S HAIR:
ROW 1: With red and K hook join around 9th st from join of rnd 6 of head –this should have you working toward the back of the clown’s head-(ch-10, sl st next st) 16 times, sl st to corresponding st one rnd below the one you just finished, turn.
ROW 2: (ch-10, sl st next st) 16 times, sl st to corresponding st one rnd below the one you just finished, turn.
ROW 3: (ch-10, sl st next st) 15 times, sl st to corresponding st one rnd below the one you just finished, turn.
ROW 4: (ch-10, sl st next st) 14 times, sl st to corresponding st one rnd below the one you just finished, turn.
ROW 5: (ch-10, sl st next st) 13 times, fasten off.
NOSE:
With red and K hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
RND 2: (Sk next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
Sew nose to the center of the clown’s face. Using a needle and iris yarn make crosses for the eyes. Using carnation and a needle form the mouth.
