Free Crochet Pattern: Tassel Snowman Ornament
MATERIALS:
Soft White and Black 4 ply Red Heart yarn, 11” gold ribbon, small amounts of felt in black, orange and green, 2 small buttons, size G hook or hook to obtain gauge, craft glue, a couple of small twigs, small amount of stuffing, small amount of cardboard and needle to take yarn
Gauge: 6 sts = 1 1\2”, 5 rows = 1”
SNOWMAN:
With black and G hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 3-6: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. At the end of rnd 6 fasten off black and join soft white.
RND 7: 2 sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (24 sts)
RND 8-12: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 13: (Sc dec next 2 sts tog as 1, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (16 sts)
RND 14-15: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 16: 2 sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (32 sts)
RND 17: (2 sc next st, sc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (40 sts)
RND 18-25: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 26: (Sc dec next 2 sts, sc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (32 sts)
RND 27: (Sc dec next 2 sts, sc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (24 sts)
