Sew to define arms as if hands are in a muff (see doll.)
HAT HEADBAND:
ROW 1: With white yarn and G hook ch-4, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2-24: Working in bk lps only, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Place the ends of the hat band tog, sl st through both thickness forming a ring. Glue over white portion of hat.
COLLAR:
Rep rows 1-20 of hat headband.
ROW 21: Turn piece so you are now working across ea row, *ch-4, sk next row, sc next row ch-3, sk next row, sc next row, rep from * across, fasten off. Glue around neck of doll.
SKIRT:
ROW 1: With blue & G ch-9, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
ROW 2-30: Working in bk lps now, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Place ends tog and sl st through both thickness to form a ring, do not fasten off, ch-1, turn so you are now working across ea end of rows previously made, even work sc around piece, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
WAISTBAND:
Join white in any sc just made, ch-1, sc ea st , sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
BOW:
ROW 1: With white and G hook ch-2, sc 2nd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 2: 2 sc next st, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 3: 2 sc next st, sc next st, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
Row 4-5: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 6: Sk 1st st, sc next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 7: Sk 1st st, sc next st, ch-2, turn. (one streamer made)
ROW 8: Sc 2nd ch of previous rows ch-2, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 9: Rep row 2.
ROW 10: Rep row 3.
ROW 11-15: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 16: Rep row 6.
ROW 17: Sk 1st st, sc next , sl st in bottom of ch-2 of row 8, ch-2, turn. (one bow loop made) Do not fasten off.
ROW 19-27: Rep rows 8-17. (second bow loop made.)
ROW 28: Rep row 8.
ROW 29-33: Rep row 2-6.
ROW 34: Sk 1st st, sc next st, fasten off. (second streamer made)
Glue skirt around waist of doll. Glue a bow to skirt’s center back.
MUFF:
ROW 1: With white and G hook, ch-4, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc next 2 ch, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2-5: Working in bk lps, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. At the end of row 5 fasten off.
Glue muff to center front of doll. Cut out eyes and cheeks from felt and glue. Sew doll to each end of each scarf .
