NOSE:
ROW 1: With K hook and chocolate ch-2, sc 2nd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (1 st)

ROW 4-7: 2 sc next st, sc ea st across to last st, 2 sc last st, ch-1, turn. At the end of row 7 fasten off. (6 sts)(8 sts)(10 sts)(12 sts)
MUZZLE:
With K hook and antique white ch-3 sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2-4: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 5-6: (2 sc next st, sc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)(48 sts)
RND 7: Sl st next 5 sts, hdc next 2 sts, dc next 10 sts, hdc next 2 sts, sl st next 10 sts, hdc next 2 sts, dc next 10 sts, hdc next 2 sts, sl st last 5 sts, fasten off.
With buff and needle, sew nose to muzzle. With K hook, work strand of chocolate up and around sts to form a smile. Sew muzzle to dog’s face.
SMALL PAW PADS (MAKE 3 EA PAW):
RND 1: With K hook and chocolate, ch-6, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc next 3 ch, 3 sc next ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch, sc next 4, 2 sc last st, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
LARGE PAW PAD:
Rep rnd 1 of small paw pads, do not fasten off.
RND 2: Ch-2, turn, 2 dc next st, dc next st, 2 dc next st, dc next 3 sts, 2 dc next st, dc next st, 2 dc next st, dc last 3 sts, sl st top beg dc, fasten off. (16 sts)
With buff and needle sew 3 small paw pads at the outer edges of ea paw on the dog. Sew the large pad under these.
COLLAR:
ROW 1: With K and Forest Green ch-5, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 2-46: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. At the end of row 46 fasten off.
HEART TAG:
ROW 1: With K hook and wine ch-2, sc 2nd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 2-3: 2 sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)(4 sts)
ROW 4-5: 2 sc next st, sc ea st across to last st, 2 sc last st, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)(8 sts)
ROW 6: Sl st 1st st, (hdc, dc, trc) next st, (trc, dc) next st, sl st next 2 sts, (dc, trc) next st, (trc, dc, hdc) next st, sl st last st, fasten off. (14 sts counting sl sts)
Cut a small length of antique white, lp though heart’s center. Overlap this yarn over center of collar and knot to the back of the piece. With buff and needle sew collar to dog at neck.
