Beg at the top center of first rnd that forms the alligator’s body and sew this rnd to next rnd and then next rnd to third rnd and keep rep until all the rnds are sewn tog at the top. Rep this again across the rnds about 2 sts over from original line of sts.
BACK BUMPS:
With Hunter Green and H hook (ch-6, sl st 3rd ch from hook) 6 times, fasten off.
-make 2. Sew this to sts made across back.
TAIL:
RND 1: With Spring Green and H hook ch-2, work 6 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
RND 2: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (9 sts)
RND 4: Rep rnd 2.
RND 5: Hdc next st, (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (13 sts)
RND 6: Rep rnd 2.
RND 7: Rep rnd 5. (19 sts)
RND 8: Rep rnd 2, fasten off.
Stuff tail and sew to one end of body.
HEAD:
RND 1: With Spring Green and H hook ch-6, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc next 2 ch, 3 hdc last ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom sts just made), hdc next 2, 2 hdc last sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)
RND 2: Back Loop hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 3-4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 5: 2 hdc next st, hdc next 3, 2 hdc next 2, hdc next 3, 2 hdc last st, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (14 sts)
RND 6: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 7: 2 hdc next 2 sts, hdc next 3, 2 hdc next 4, hdc next 3, 2 hdc last 2 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (22 sts)
RND 8: Rep rnd 6. Fasten off.
Stuff and sew to end of body.
