ROW 31: Rep row 3. End row 31 fasten off.
With needle and navy crochet thread sew insert bet rows 6-17 of skirt.
BOTTOM SKIRT EDGING:
ROW 1: With red and 7 hook ch-27, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, join white, drop red, ch-1, turn. (25 sts)
ROW 2: Bk lp hdc ea st across, join navy, drop white, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3: Bk lp hdc ea st across, pick up red, drop navy, ch-1, turn.
ROW 4: Bk lp hdc ea st across, pick up white, drop red, ch-1, turn.
ROW 5: Bk lp hdc ea st across, pick up navy, drop white, ch-1, turn.
Rep rows 3-5 alternating sequence as established until piece measure 24” long. With needle and navy crochet thread, sew short end tog to form a lg lp. Run a line of basting sts around one edge of bottom edging, gather piece so it will fit around bottom edge of completed dress and sew the two pieces tog.
EDGING FOR BOTTOM SKIRT EDGING:
With white and 7 hook join in end of any row on bottom skirt edging, ch-1, sc sa row as beg ch-1, (ch-3, sc end next row, ch-4, sc end next row) around ending with ch-4, sl st beg sc, fasten off.
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:
With needle and sewing thread sew 3 snaps to back opening of bodice. Slide dress over doll in completed form and snap to close. Decide best positioning of wings and sew a single snap to ea corresponding place on bodice and wing.
