Lace:
Row 1: With Gold and 7 hook ch-14, dc 4th ch from hook, dc next 2 ch, ch-4, sk next 4 ch, dc last 4 ch, ch-5, turn.
Row 2: Dc 1st 4 sts, work 4 dc in next ch-4 sp, dc last 4 sts, ch-5, turn.
Row 3: Dc 1st 4 sts, ch-4, sk 4 sts, dc last 4 sts, ch-5, turn.
Row 4-46: Rep row 2-3.
Row 47: Dc 1st 4 sts, 4 dc in next ch-4 sp, dc last 4 sts, turn piece so you will now be working down the long side of the lace, * (dc, ch-1) 6 times in ch-5 lp, sc next ch-5 lp * rep bet ** across with the last sc being worked in the side of next row, turn.
Row 48: Ch-1, sc 1st sc, * (ch-3, sc next ch-1 sp) 6 times, ch-3, sc next sc * rep bet ** across, end by sl st in side of next row on short side of lace, fasten off.
Next Side:
Row 1: With Gold and 7 hook join in 1st ch-5 lp on other side of lace, * (dc, ch-1) 6 times in ch-5 lp, sc next ch-5 lp * rep bet ** across with the last sc being worked in the side of next row, turn.
Row 2: Ch-1, sc 1st sc, * (ch-3, sc next ch-1 sp) 6 times, ch-3, sc next sc * rep bet ** across, end by sl st in side of next row on short side of lace, fasten off.
Weave ribbon over and under row on lace at opening (ch-4 sps) and leaving ¼” to ½” extra at ea end for hem. Fold under ends and sew to back of lace.
Fold lace 2” (about 2 ribbon squares) toward wrong side, tack to hold, Fold lace again 3-1/2” from edge (about 2 more ribbon squares below 1st fold. Again tack to hold. Sew lace at ea side of doll at waist.
Bow:
You will need 14” of ribbon for ea bow made. Carefully fold end into a circle, holding edge to keep its shape, make a lp about ¼” from circle, rep on other side. Make 2 more layers of lps for a total of three. Sew through all layers at ea side to hold.
-Make 2 and sew to ea side of lace at top. Make another one for snood or wig. In the snood I cut an additional 6” of ribbon to place under the bow.

Additional Materials: 1-2 ozs Red Heart Baby Soft yarn in Light Rose (7722), size E crochet hook, Size 10 crochet thread in Petal Pink, small amount in metallic Gold, size 7 crochet hook, needle to take yarn, sewing needle and sewing thread.
