Size 10 crochet thread in White and Green, size 7 crochet hook, one 1” wooden bead, 2 chenille stems, stuffing, needle the take crochet thread and black fabric paint.
FINISHED SIZE: 4” Gauge: 4 hdc sts = 1\2”, 3 rows hdc = 1\2”
MRS. FRANKENSTEIN:
With black and 7 hook ch-3, sl st to from a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (24 sts)
RND 3: Hdc next 9 sts, join white, carry black behind sts as you work, hdc next 2, carry white, pick up black, hdc next 2, carry black, pick up white, hdc next 2, drop white, pick up black, hdc last 9 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 4-9: Hdc next 9 sts, carry black, pick up white, hdc next 2, carry white, pick up black, hdc next 2, carry black, pick up white, hdc next 2, drop white, pick up black, hdc last 9 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 10: (Hdc next 2 sts, 2 hdc next st) twice, hdc next 3, carry black, pick up white, hdc next 2, carry white, pick up black, hdc next, 2, carry black, pick up white, hdc next, 2, fasten off, white, pick up black, (hdc next 2 sts, 2 hdc next st) twice, hdc last 3 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (28 sts)
RND 11: Hdc next 9 sts, join green, carry black, hdc next 10, drop green, pick up black, hdc last 9 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 12-14: Hdc next 9 sts, carry black, pick up green, hdc next 10, drop green, pick up black, hdc last 9 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 14 fasten off black so you are now working in only green thread.
Stuff hair to rnd 10 and insert just the wooden bead.
RND 15: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (21 sts)
RND 16: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (14 sts)
RND 17-18: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 18, fasten off green, join white.
RND 19: 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (28 sts)
