Patterns Written in US Terms
BONNET BACK:
ROW 1: With white yarn and G hook ch-20, sc 2nd ch from hook, * sk 2 ch, 5 dc next ch, sk 2 ch, sc next ch, rep from * across, turn.
ROW 2: Ch-3, 2 dc same st as ch-3, * sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 5 dc next sc, rep from * across ending with 3 dc last sc, turn.
ROW 3: Ch-1, sc same st as ch-1, * 5 dc next sc, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, rep from * across, turn.
ROW 4-9: Rep rows 2-3 alternating.
ROW 10: Ch-1, sk 1st st, sk st to 3rd dc, ch-1, sc same st, 5 dc next sc, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 5 dc next sc, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, leave remaining sts unworked, turn.
ROW 11: Ch-3, 2 dc same st as ch-3, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 5 dc next sc, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 3 dc last sc, turn.
ROW 12: Ch-1, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 5 dc next sc, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 5 dc next sc, sc top ch-3 previous row, turn.
ROW 13: Ch-1, sk next st, sl st to 3rd dc, ch-1, sc same st, 5 dc next sc, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, leaving remaining sts unworked, turn.
ROW 14: Ch-3, 2 dc same st as ch-2, sc 3rd dc next 5 dc group, 3 dc last sc, turn.
ROW 15: ch-1, sc same st as ch-1, 5 dc next sc, sc top ch-3 previous row, fasten off. Sew or sl st back to bonnet easing in the fullness at the top of back.
EDGING:
RND 1: With wrong side of bonnet facing you join white yarn in side last row of bonnet, ch-1, sc evenly around entire outside edge of bonnet, sl st top beg sc, turn.
RND 2: Ch-1, sc same st as ch-1, * sk 2 sts, 5 dc next st, sk 2 sts, sc next st, rep from * around ending with sk 2 sts, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
FINISHING BONNET:
Cut the remaining 7\8” ribbon in half.  Sew one ribbon to each side of bonnet with needle and matching thread.
