White Purse with Mesh Topper
Free Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:

4 oz Sugar ‘N Cream worsted weight cotton yarn in White (00001), Size L & E crochet hooks or hook to obtain gauge, 250 yds size 10 crochet thread (Aunt Lydia’s) in Bridal Blue (479) and small amount of White, two 6” diameter brass rings, needle to take yarn and crochet thread.

GAUGE: Sugar ‘N Cream: 2 sts = 1”, 4 rows = 1-1\2” Crochet thread: 3 (Dc + ch-1) sps = 1”, 3 rows of pattern = 1”

FLOWER:

With White thread and 7 hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.

RND 1: (Ch-2, 2 dc, ch-2, sl st) in ring 5 times, fasten off.

-Make 8 flowers.

PURSE:

RND 1: With White and L hook ch-20, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc next 16 ch, 3 hdc last ch, turn so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom of sts just made), hdc next 16, 2 hdc last, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (38 sts)

RND 2: 2 hdc next 2 sts, hdc next 16, 2 hdc next 3, hdc next 16, 2 hdc last st, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (44 sts)
