Patterns Written In US Terms

RND 42-43: Rep rnd 11.
RND 44: Hdc next 2 sts, (hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) 6 times, hdc last st, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (15 sts)
RND 45-49: Rep rnd 11.
RND 50: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
RND 51-53: Rep rnd 11.
RND 54: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (9 sts)
RND 55-56: Rep rnd 11.
RND 57: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (6 sts)
RND 58: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.  (3 sts)
Stuff the head and tail to the point where the piece changes to rows instead of rnds.  With wire cutters, cut the last ring off ea end of the Slinky.  Insert one cut end bet sts just behind the stuff head.  Twist until sever rings are to the wrong side of the body.  With needle and yarn sew rings to hold in place.  Rep at the tail.  Stuff the body firmly and sew closed.  With needle and yarn sew several rings of the Slinky to the back of the animal to hold in place.
LOWER JAW AND BACK PLATES:
ROW 1: With yarn and H hook ch-5, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (4 sts)
ROW 2: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3-4: Sk 1st  st, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)(2 sts)
ROW 5: Sk 1st st, sc last st, ch-1, turn.  (1 sts)
RND 6: Evenly sc in ea st and row around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
-make one in Yellow and sew to face for the jaw.  Glue small red buttons for eyes to complete the face.
-make 24 in red.  With needle and matching yarn sew the back plates (row 1) to the center of the Slinky in two rows.
TAIL SPIKES:
Rep back plates in red.  Make 5.  Fold in half and sew closed, then sew to tail of the slinkasaurus.
