Patterns Written In US Terms
MATERIALS:
Black 4 ply yarn, size H crochet hook or hook to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, and 9 cut rings from large 3-1\2” diameter Slinky.
GAUGE: 4 sc sts = 1”, 3 rows sc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: 53” long not including tie.  Motif is 4” long.
MOTIF:
ROW 1: With Black and H hook ch-7, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (6 sts)
ROW 2: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3-6: Sk 1st st, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (5 sts)(4 sts)(3 sts)(2 sts)
ROW 7-9: Rep row 2.
ROW 10-13: 2 sc 1st st, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)(4 sts)(5 sts)(6 sts)
ROW 14-15: Rep row 2.  End row 15 fasten off.
-make 16 for the 9 rings.  With needle and yarn sew two motif’s tog sandwiching ring bet as you sew.  Rep rnd until all rings are connected.
TIE:
ROW 1: With Black and H hook ch-7, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (6 sts)
ROW 2-56: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 57: Sk 1st st, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (5 sts)
ROW 58: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 59: Rep row 57.  (4 sts)
ROW 60: Rep row 58.
ROW 61: Rep row 57.  (3 sts)
ROW 62: Rep row 58.
ROW 63: Rep row 57.  (2 sts)
ROW 64: Rep row 58.
ROW 65: Sk 1st st, sc last st, ch-1, turn.  (1 st)
ROW 66: Sc only st, fasten off.
Sew to last ring over lapping row 1.
To fasten belt knot tie around any ring.
To make smaller or larger just add or subtract rings.
